Question Tags

कुछ ऐसे शब्द हैं जो एक नकारात्मक अर्थ को दर्शाते हैं और जब वे एक वाक्य में आते हैं, तो वाक्य 'नहीं' या 'कभी नहीं' शब्द का उपयोग किए बिना नकारात्मक हो जाता है।

There are some words that denote a negative meaning and when they come into a sentence, the sentence turns negative without using the word 'no' or 'never'.
These words are: neither, never, no one, nobody, few, little, nothing, seldom, none, rarely, hardly, scarcely.

जब उपरोक्त शब्द एक वाक्य में आते हैं, तो वाक्य को नकारात्मक माना जाता है और प्रश्न टैग सकारात्मक होगा।

When the above words come in a sentence, the sentence is considered negative and the question tag will be positive.

Examples:

आप शायद ही कभी पार्टियों में जाते हैं, हैं ना?	You seldom go to the parties, do you?
वह मुश्किल से कुछ कदम चली, हैं ना?	She hardly walked a few steps, did she?
किसी ने तुम्हारा नाम नही लिया है, है क्या?	None have called your name, have they?
किसी ने उसकी कहानी पर विश्वास नही किया, किया क्या?	Nobody believed his story, did they?
उसे अपने भाई पर ना के बराबर भरोसा है, है क्या?	She has little confidence in her brother, has she?
अंबाला में मेरे ना के बराबर दोस्त थे, थे क्या?	I had few friends in Ambala, had I?
वह शायद ही कभी हिंदी में बोलती है, है क्या?	She rarely speaks in Hindi, does she?

Only Pronoun in Question Tag

हम प्रश्नवाचक टैग में केवल सर्वनाम का उपयोग करते हैं। जब एक वाक्य में हर कोई, कोई नहीं, आप सब, आदि जैसे शब्द आते हैं, तो कुछ लोगों को यह मुश्किल लगता है कि प्रश्नवाचक शब्द में कौन से सर्वनाम का उपयोग किया जाना है।

We use only pronouns in Question tags. When words like everyone, no one, all of you, etc. come up in a sentence, some people find it difficult to find out which pronoun is to be used in the question tag.

Some Examples of such words:

एक व्यक्ति जिन्दगी से सब कुछ सीखता है, नही क्या?	One person learns everything from life, doesn't he?
एक, एक के माता पिता का कहना मानता है, नही क्या?	One obeys one's parents, doesn't one?
मुझे कोई भी ना नही कह सकता है, कह सकते हैं क्या ?	No one can say no to me, can they?
हर कोई हॉल में एकदम से जायेंगे, नही क्या?	Everybody will go to the hall at once, won't they?
कुछ भी स्पष्ट नही है, है क्या?	Nothing is clear, is it?
हम सभी भविष्य के बारे में जानने को उत्सुक है, नही क्या?	All of us are curious to know about the future, aren't we?
आप सभी ने इस चक्र को पास कर लिया है, नही क्या?	All of you have qualified this round, haven't you?
उसे अपनी सहेली से मिलने जाने दें, दें क्या?	Let him go to see her friend, should we?
कोई भी योगा क्लास में नहीं गया, गया क्या?	Nobody went to the Yoga class, did they?
उसे बगीचे में खेलने दो, नही दोगी क्या?	Let him play in the garden, won't you?
