Pronunciation of Vowel Letter E | Rules and Examples | सुनो और सीखो

स्वरों को सीखते समय हमें याद रखना चाहिए कि उच्चारण की भूमिका अँग्रेज़ी बातचीत में सबसे अधिक है। आप देखेंगे कि स्वर बोलते हुए, यानी; a,e,i,o,u ध्वनि हमारे अंदर से आती है। स्वर के प्रवाह को रोकने के लिए हमारे मुंह में कोई प्रतिबंध नहीं है। अँग्रेज़ी में लगभग 20 स्वीकृत स्वर ध्वनियां हैं। नियमित उच्चारण अभ्यास के साथ हम जल्द ही प्रवाह को प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।

While learning vowels, we must remember that pronunciation plays the most role in English conversation. You will notice that while speaking vowels (a,e,i,o,u) the sound seems to come from our inside. There is no restriction in our mouth to stop the flow of the vowel sound. There are about 20 accepted vowel sounds in English. With regular pronunciation practise, we can achieve fluency soon.

Rule No. 1: Short vowel sound of 'e' - When there is a single vowel in a word, and it comes either in the beginning of the word or in the middle of the word but not at the end of the word, then the pronunciation of that vowel usually is short.

In comparison to the pronunciation of Vowel 'a', the pronunciation of Vowel 'e' is shorter. Listen carefully to the pronunciation of 'man' and 'men' to know the difference. The sound of 'e' in men is shorter than the sound of 'a' in man.
