ELC-1st Day
Subject-Object-Predicate
Predicate
A sentence has basically two parts. First part is Subject and the other part which tells what the Subject is doing or what the Subject is known as Predicate. Predicate includes Verb and Object.
Subject
कर्ता (सब्जेक्ट) वह व्यक्ति या वस्तु है जो कुछ क्रिया करता है या क्रिया से जुड़ा होता है। वाक्य के कर्ता का वाक्य में चर्चा की गई बातों से गहरा संबंध है। कर्ता एक संज्ञा, सर्वनाम, संज्ञा खंड या संज्ञा वाक्यांश हो सकता है।
The Subject is the person or thing that performs some action or is associated with the verb. The subject of the sentence has a close relationship to what is discussed in the sentence. A Subject can be a noun, pronoun, noun clause or noun phrase.
Object
ऑब्जेक्ट वाक्य का वह व्यक्ति या वस्तु है जिस पर क्रिया की कार्रवाई होती है या जिस पर क्रिया का प्रभाव पड़ता है। वर्ब साधारणतया ऑब्जेक्ट से पहले आता है।
An Object is the person or thing of a sentence on which the action of the verb occurs or on which the verb has an effect. The verb usually precedes the object.
Verb
A verb is a word that describes what the Subject (person, object or animal) is doing. Like - Kapil is eating banana ('eating' is the action that tells what Kapil is doing) Verbs show action, so they are also called action words. Verbs are mainly of two types (1) Helping Verb; and (2) Main Verb
Identification of Subject, Object, Verb & Predicate

Predicate: In a sentence, other than the Subject, everything is a Predicate,
i.e. Predicate is Verb plus Object. In the first example, 'The King' is Subject and 'gave the brave boy ten gold-coins' is Predicate. |
