Uses of 'Used to':
'Be Used to'
हम 'be used to' का प्रयोग उन चीजों के बारे में बात करने के लिए उपयोग करते हैं जिसके हम आदी हो गए हैं और वर्तमान में परिचित हैं। उदाहरण के लिए: मैं सुबह नींबू चाय पीने का आदी हूँ। इसका ऐसे प्रयोग हुआ है, 'be+used to+something'.
We use 'be used to' to talk about things we have become accustomed to and are familiar with currently. For example: I am used to drinking lemon tea in the morning. It is used as, 'be+used to+something'.
Point to note:
| Be' के रूप है - Is, are, am, was, were, will be, shall be.वाक्यों में किसी भी रूप का उपयोग किया जा सकता है। | Point to note: The form of 'Be' are - Is, are, am, was, were, will be, shall be. Any of the forms can be used in the sentences. |
| क्रिया 'Be' किसी भी टेन्स में प्रयुक्त हो सकती है। तो हम इस अभिव्यक्ति का उपयोग करते हुए भूतकाल या भविष्य के साथ ही वर्तमान में चीजों के बारे में बात कर सकते हैं: | The verb 'be' can be used in any tense. So we can talk about things in the past or the future as well as the present using this expression: |
| 'Be' क्रिया के साथ नकारात्मक और प्रश्नात्मक वाक्य 'used to' के साथ बनाए जाते हैं ना की 'use to' के साथ। | The negative and interrogative sentences with the verb 'be' are made with 'used to' and not 'use to'. |
Look at the examples:-
| वह झूठ बोलने का आदी है। | He is used to lying. |
| वह इस शोर की अभ्यस्त है। | She is used to this noise. |
| उसे शाम की चाय के साथ TV सीरियल देखने की आदत है। | She is used to watching TV serials along with evening tea. |
| तुम्हें जल्दी ही उनकी मजेदार टिप्पणियों को सुनने की आदत हो जायेगी। | You will soon be used to listening to his funny comments. |
| मुझे कभी भी लंदन के एकदम ठंडे मौसम में रहने की आदत नही होगी। | I will never get used to the chilled weather of London. |
| स्मिता काम और घर को पूरी तरह से संतुलित रखने में अभयस्त है। | Smita is used to balancing work and home perfectly. |
| हिमेश एक ट्रक चालक के रूप में काम करते थे, इसलिए उन्हें लंबी दूरी की यात्रा करने का अभ्यास होगा। | Himesh worked as a truck driver so he will be used to travelling long distances. |
| उस वृद्ध आदमी को व्हीलचेयर का संचालन करके अपने रास्ते पे जाने का अभ्यास है। | The old man is used to manoeuvring his way around in a wheelchair. |
| हमने अपना अधिकतर जीवन शिमला में व्यतीत किया हे, इसलिए हमें ठंडे वातावरण की आदत हो गयी है। | We have stayed most of our lives in Shimla, so we are used to cold living conditions. |
| हमारे माता-पिता बहुत व्यस्त नौकरियाँ करते थे इसलिए हम स्वयं की देखभाल करने के आदि हो गये थे। | Our parents were in demanding jobs, so we were used to taking care of ourselves. |
| मुझे मराठी में बोलने की आदत थी जब मेरे पिता कोल्हापुर में तैनात थे। | I was used to speaking in Marathi when my father was posted in Kolhapur. |
| मैं कुछ ही महीनों में अपनी कार चलाने की अभय्स्त हो जाऊंगी। | I shall be used to driving my own car in a few months. |
| वह रात की शिफ्ट में काम किया करता था, इसलिए वह रातों में जागे रहने का आदी था। | He used to work in night shifts, so he was used to staying up at nights. |
