Shall
'Shall' का प्रयोग आज्ञाओं, निर्देशों, धमकियों या वादा करने या भविष्य के कार्यों के लिए दृढ़ संकल्प जारी करने के लिए भी उपयोग किया जाता है। 'Shall' का इस्तेमाल 2nd और 3rd पर्सन के साथ किया जाता है। भविष्य की घटना विषय के बजाय वक्ता की इच्छा या संकल्प का प्रतिनिधित्व करती है।
'Shall' is also used to issue commands, instructions, threats or to promise or determination to do something for future action. 'Shall' here is used with the second and third persons. The future event represents the will or desire of the speaker rather than that of the subject.

| निश्चित रहें, ट्रक पहुंचने से पहले वे वहां पहुँच जाएँगे। (पक्का वादा) | Rest assured. They shall reach there before the truck arrives. (promise) |
| ध्यान दीजिए कैदियों, आपको नियमों को तोड़ने पर दंडित किया जाएगा। (धमकी) | Attention inmates, you shall be punished for breaking the rules. (threat) |
| भविष्य में आप अपने कपड़े स्वयं धोएंगे। (अनुदेश) | You shall wash your own clothes in future. ( Instructions) |
| आप में से कोई भी हमला शुरू नहीं करेगा और यह एक आदेश है। (कमांड) | None of you shall initiate an attack, and that’s an order. (command) |
| आने वाले वित्तीय वर्ष में हमारी अर्थव्यवस्था में तेजी आएगी। (भविष्य के लिए वादा) | Our economy shall boom in the coming fiscal year. (promise for the future) |
| मैं जल्द ही अंग्रेजी भाषा में प्रविणता पा लूँगा। (चित्त की दृढ़ता) | I shall master the English language soon. (determination) |
