Main Units of English Sentence -वाक्य की मुख्य इकाई

अक्षरों के समूह से शब्द बनते हैं और शब्दों के समूह से वाक्य। आइए वाक्य की मुख्य इकाइयों पर नज़र डालते हैं:

Words are formed from a group of letters and sentences from a group of words. Let's look at the main units of the sentence:

Letter - अक्षर

There are 26 letters (21 consonants and 5 vowels).	अंग्रजी भाषा में 26 अक्षर है (21 अक्षर व्यंजन है और 5 स्वर)।
Consonants - व्यंजन : B, C, D, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, S, T, V, W, X, Y and Z Vowels - स्वर : A, E, I, O and U

Word - शब्द

There are 26 letters (21 consonants and 5 vowels) in the English language	शब्द = अक्षरों का समुह, जिसका कोई सार्थक अर्थ हो, उसे शब्द कहते हैं।
A word is a group of letters, which has some meaning. Like word ‘boy’ has three letters b, o and y.	अक्षरों का समुह, जिसका कोई सार्थक अर्थ हो, उसे शब्द कहते हैं।  जैसे 'लड़का' में तीन अक्षर है - ल, ड़ और का।
Example : Play, boy, girl, drink, dance, country, flag are words	उदाहरण :  खेलना, लड़का, लड़की, देश, गिलास, आदि शब्द हैं।

Sentence - वाक्य

A group of words, which conveys a complete meaning, is called a sentence. *A sentence must contain a verb. *A sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a full stop (.) or question mark (?) or an exclamation mark (!).	शब्दों के समुह को, जिसका कोई सार्थक अर्थ निकले, उसे वाक्य कहते हैं। *वाक्य में एक क्रिया (वर्ब) जरूर होनी चाहिए। *इंग्लिश वाक्य का पहला अक्षर केपिटल होता है और आखिर में फुल स्टाप (.) या प्रश्नवाचक चिन्ह (?) या विस्मयबोधक चिन्ह(!) आता है।
Example: Children play in the garden.   The above group of words is expressing a complete meaning, so it is a sentence. Group of words which does not convey a complete meaning like "Rajan garden hungry evening" is not called a sentence.	उदाहरण :  बच्चे पार्क में खेलते हैं।   शब्दों का उपरोक्त समूह एक पूर्ण अर्थ व्यक्त कर रहा है इसलिए यह एक वाक्य है।    शब्दों का वह समुह जो पूर्ण अर्थ ना बताए - जैसे - "राजन पार्क भूखे पेट शाम", वाक्य नही कहलाता।
